LIPTON BASH
Feel the Bern BGP! Nothing but Vodka and women with thick accents in your future! Bernie is almost universally recognized as the most honest candidate. He is also pushing the most hopeful and positive message. Nothing wrong with honesty and optimism. Say goodbye to your corporate overlords! Socialism is hopeful? Honesty? Is that what promising programs you can't pay for is called ? He is honest in the sense he admits he is a socialist unlike some other democrats who clearly are and won't say it. But there is nothing honest about his economic policies . LIPTON BASH
Just the left? Don't forget the lyingest liar in the campaign is leading the polls on the GOP side. Bernie is the most sincere. He is a record stuck on an issue that is killing the middle class in America. He's not playing spin or politics or covering up past decisions. He says I screwed up in his vote for gun lobbies (FTR after his explanation I understood why he voted that way). He didn't switch his position on guns until Hillary latched on as her one attacking point on Bernie. What major policy or cause has Bernie led the charge on in his over 2 decades in government ? I'll say it again Socialism is anti American , it's anti freedom and it's anti the American dream.
rockmom
I would argue that while you may not agree with the "value" of his economic policies, there's nothing dishonest about them. Fundamentally, maybe philosophically, they don't align with your idea of sound economic policies. But I don't think they're dishonest. I, for instance, don't agree with economic policies that put the interests of corporate special interest groups ahead of the interests ahead of the interest of the citizen's well-being and lives. But I don't think the policies themselves are inherently dishonest. I do think that support of them can be dishonest in the way it's presented to gain support. For instance, I think it's pretty straightforward that some believe putting corporate interests first will create jobs. I don't see that as dishonest. But when support for a government policy that allows corporations to move jobs out of the country and benefit the profits of those corporations and investors at the expense of jobs in America is a dishonest defense. I don't know if I explained that well. Probably not.
Twotoplace
Who would have thunk a year ago that Americans by the millions -- especially young people -- would flock to a self-proclaimed democratic socialist who wants to cut the banking industry and Wall Street down to size. Not me.

ggclfan
There is no way that the Dems will let Bernie be the nominee...mark that down. I DO believe that Bernie is honest. I also think he is total whack-job whose policies are incredibly dangerous...so much so that the establishment Dems even think so.

Not me. They are too young to understand there is no such thing as free everything. SOMEBODY has to pay for it. That's the question socialists can never answer, "What happens when you run out of other people's money"?

That's the question socialists can never answer, "What happens when you run out of other people's money"? Young people realize, if things stay the way they are, about 10 % of "other people"will have all the money.

Cats3x
Just can't believe America has got to the point to where many feel socialism is the best answer. Sad times.
Hellcats
Just can't believe America has got to the point to where many feel socialism is the best answer. Sad times. Social security, public education, and govt bailouts are just a few socialist programs that already exist.
