I don't understand the logic here at all. Harrison saves 2 minutes on the trip to Mt. Sterling and the other three schools have longer trips time wise.:idunno:

Harrison and Nicholas are the same distances to each location. Maybe Pendleton won't want to continue playing at Mason County and will choose to drive an additional 25 minutes for the change in venue.

 

Robertson is the only school close enough to Mason to truly say no, but it is only 33 minutes more for them to Montgomery.

 

Some of you make this distance out to be a monumental task.

The 37th district teams have an almost 2 hour trip to Montgomery County just as the 40th district teams have heading towards Campbell County, Scott, etc.

 

We deal with it. The other districts should, too.

 

The negativity from the 39th district crowd is ridiculous. The 10th Region Tournament will be held at Montgomery County (or GRC, eventually) every 4 years.

Yeah, with this GRC Reporter logic others could say the folks at Paris and Bourbon County might as well vote to have it at Mason County since it's only an extra 15-20 mins. vs. the drive to Montgomery County.

Maybe a new 10th region alignment is needed. MoCo and GRC out and bring back Fleming and add Lewis.

 

Just a thought but it would cut down on travel time quite considerably.

Think about it. A person has to drive through two 16 region counties to get to MoCo. :idunno: (Fleming and Bath)

Seems to make more sense to have the representatives from the 37th and 40th meet in Maysville rather than one travel to the other.

 

Perhaps the more important issues are(in this order):

1)Popcorn

2)Where better for the other schools in the region to gather to cheer against the Royals, than their home floor.:lol2:

We will put this on the list of things we will never agree on. Eithier NKY or Mt. Sterling are logistical nightmares for some teams. Especially through the week when these kids have school the next day. The Feildhouse is the absolute best option. Every year!! Attendance will be better and profits will be higher.

 

The whole home court advantage thing is overrated in my opinion. Does it help? Possibly not sure. An argument can be made I guess.

Yeah, it would never happen. Fleming and Lewis like their chances better in the 16th than they would have in the 10th, just like Campbell, Brossart and Scott like their chances better in the 10th than they would have in the 9th.

Fine by me if Paris and Bourbon County agree to it, but I believe that most of us in the southern part of the 10th Region are tired of traveling to Mason County 3 out of 4 years.

Just place Clark and Montgomery in the 16th and move Fleming and Lewis to the 10th.
