September 18, 201610 yr High ticket steak at "The Alamo" and Chicken Parmesan at Joe Carrino's both in Pigeon Forge. Both were perfectly awful. The steak tasted like it had been soaked in dishwater, and I was really hoping for a veal dish at Joe Carrino's. Not to be had, I settled for a crusty chicken parm and had heartburn for the next 24 hours. Third night I got smart and had a perfectly wonderful "meal" at Steak and Shake. Incidentally, every breakfast at the multitude of Pancake eateries on the strip was excellent, with the country ham especially sizable and tender at Reagan's. September 20, 201610 yr Did Celestial tonight. One of the best views in the city. A few martinis, seafood app. (Please take the king crab out of the shell of at least half it). Filet, baked potato solid meal. They gave me a bonus desert. Suprise of the night was walking thru the hallway to the bar to hear a little jazz and an even better view.

Celestial has been around forever, once rivaled the very top tier dining experiences in the entire city. Still, very solid. Great view, very nice choice for most any occasion. Jazz bar area has also been there forever. The view speaks for itself.

Happy hour in the jazz bar every night, I think he said 4-7 $5.00 martinis, half off apps, $1.50 Oysters and ladies night on Wednesday nights.
