From what I am seeing on Twitter, Ledford hit a deep 3 to give Lincoln the win at the buzzer.

Lincoln hit 3 shots that they couldn't hit again if they were wide open! Unbelievable...that's it

This one stings as a Rebel fan. Boyle must learn to seal the deal. Boyle does not handle prosperity at all. Lincoln scores the last 10 points to go to OT.

 

In addition to the 2 previous mentioned buzzer beaters, Noah Young throws a line drive in from 75ft to close out the half and put Lincoln up 25-19.

 

All in all, Lincoln outplayed Boyle, especially in the first half, winning most all of the 50/50 balls. Boyle did come out in the second half and controlled the game, with the exception of the last minute.

Boyle County shot 23-48 for 47.9%, 6-10 from deep. 12-21 from the FT line. Had 44 rebounds, 12 assists, 8 blocks and 4 steals.

For Lincoln County:

 

Noah Young finished with 20 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals.

 

Wade Goode had 18 points, 6 rebounds and 7 steals.

 

Devin Alcorn had 8 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals.

 

Nick Noland came up HUGE for Lincoln County. He had 14 points and 4 rebounds. 6/8 from the floor, 2/3 from deep. He very well could have been the player of the game for Lincoln County.

For Boyle County:

 

Colton Elkins had 11 points, 18 rebounds, 3 assists and 8 blocks.

 

Bryce Slone had 20 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and was 5/8 from deep.

 

Josiah Robbins had 15 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists.

Boyle missed a layup that would have put them up by a safer margin after breaking the press and Lincoln forced turnovers and scored off of those turnovers. I think it was 10 points with two minutes left. I think I remember the score being 53-48 with about 50something seconds left.

23 turnovers is the recipe for a lose. Suprised the game was this close with that many TO's.

 

Some good coaches in the 12th, but I'll take jeff jackson. His teams always improve, there competitive and never seem to be out of a game.

 

A little luck never hurt either.

They are currently the best two teams in the 45th District. Neither team is as good as they were last season but both are capable of hurting someone's feelings in the region tournament if they are fortunate enough to make it to the tournament. Two very well coached teams that play very good defense. Both teams will be playing their best ball of the season in February.

Agreed, both are well coached. Lincoln is usually a tough out come tournament time, and if Boyle can keep their turnovers below 15 they'll be tough to beat. Their field goal percentage is really good most games, but they have fewer field goal attempts than their opponent a lot of games because of turnovers. If Boyle takes care of the ball, they can be a really good team.
