Burfict needs to go

Featured Replies

Where was Hill when he fumbled--Marvin just said we weren't in field goal range??

Sounds about right for Marvin. It was around the 20 yard line.

If Hill doesn't fumble, Pittsburgh has the ball with a minute to go down by 4, assuming Nugent makes the field goal. The same drive that happened after the fumble would have happened after the field goal.

:lol2: If they fall forward 3 times, their up 4 with 60 seconds left and Pitt has to go 80 yards with no timeouts. In what world is that the same as what happened?

Best corner we have... You like Kirkpatrick better? Lol!

People, accept it... Football players aren't choir boys!

...which is why you should never tie your feelings to an NFL team.

I'd rather win with "dirty" players like the Steelers and the old Raiders use to than lose with guys like Kitna and Leon Hall...

They aren't paid to be nice...

I know.. I mean even if Nugent misses the kick (which would surprise no one)... They're down 1 and out of timeouts....

A lot harder than down 1 and all your timeouts...

And down 4 would be a whole different stratosphere... Lol

Marvin is wrong. Hill fumbled around the 20-25.

26.

Let me spell it out for you in case you missed my point. You are saying Burfict will mature. You would have likely said the same thing about Pacman 5 years ago. Pacman's lack of maturity handed the game winning field goal to the Steelers. Yes these guys aren't choir boys. They can't control themselves on the field even when the ball is dead. Burfict is not going to change. He will be getting stupid penalties like this one tonight 5 years from now with whatever team he is playing on, just like Pacman did.

Seriously, no one with even the least bit of knowledge of football could possibly think the situation would've been the same had they kneeled it and kicked the FG.

Just win Baby! I think Al Davis of the Raiders said that. If you don't live by that in the NFL, go watch high school football and leave the NFL to men!

Without guys like Burfict and Pacman... The Bengals won't even make the playoffs much less ever win a Super Bowl...

Not saying those two guys in particular... But you need guys like that and Championship teams have them... They just know how to control them.

You act like they are two of the craziest guys in the NFL... They're not...

I mean you got a TE from the Patriots in prison for murder... And he played under control on the field. Credit The Coach.

Let me ask you?

Would you take Burfict, Pacman, Nelson type "out of control" players on the Steelers? Lol!

I know Nelson has matured the last couple of seasons, but he use to be a loose cannon.

I mean, Burfict almost "willed" the Bengals to their first playoff win in 25 years tonight...

And we have fans wanting him gone! Lol!

I agree with Paul Brown. Every year at the start of the season he told his team, "Every one of you are important. None of you are necessary." Those guys are not necessary. The Bengals won games with those two on the sidelines. They don't need them. If Burfict did not play one single down for this team this year, they would have been right where they are in the playoffs. Same is true for Pacman. If the team can win without Dalton, they can win without those two.

Ofcourse teams can win... They have pro players... But Burfict made the game changing "winning" type plays twice tonight...

He made the one "dumb" play (which many pundits are calling a bad call) well after the game should've already been won...

He's young, I think he'll continue to learn and mature much like Reggie Nelson has...

So he gets a pass?

Totally disagree--Without those two, they have no chance (see Bengals D late last year). Did they do bonehead things at the end of the game--Yes! To say the Bengals would have been as successful without them is ludicrous!
