Game time is 6:30, so I don't think it's a JV/Varsity twin-bill. I'll get ahold of Jimmy Pangallo and get the scoop.

Looks like tomorrow nights varsity bench for the Breds will only be Moeves, Hall, Pangallo, Weyer, the Anderson twins, & Ludwig.

Wow that is a little risky playing with only 7 players when some have been sick. Better not get in any foul trouble.

Not to be harsh but they are playing Bellevue it shouldn't make much difference.

CovCath starts Lenihan (Soph), Nowak (Soph), Paul Thelen (Soph), Davin (Frosh), and Walter (Soph). Bench players Nick Thelen (Frosh), Pike (Soph), Luke Thelen (Soph), and Collins (Soph).

NC would have lost to Holmes without this player. Cov Cath will still win this game by double digits unless they have a 6'8" big man.

CovCath starts Lenihan (Soph), Nowak (Soph), Paul Thelen (Soph), Davin (Frosh), and Walter (Soph). Bench players Nick Thelen (Frosh), Pike (Soph), Luke Thelen (Soph), and Collins (Soph).

 

Nice bunch of players. As you know, I'm a big fan of Nowak and what he provides to this bunch.

 

This team plus the 3 sophs playing varsity plus CVH along with some returning current junior bench guys is going to put CCH as a legit title contender next year.

If the purpose of a JV team is to improve the player for the future then I would disagree. One missed the first 8 weeks of basketball season due to football and the other is not on the floor in Varsity games unless one of the best players in the region is in severe foul trouble. Both will be counted on next year but to have them only play less than 5 meaningful minutes in Varsity games would not be developing the players for this year or next year. Playing in JV games, especially in JV games of this nature, only helps the players develop this year and certainly for next year.
