If Clyde knew the FULL reason and situation that led to Mullins transferring to Newport he'd know that athletic reasons had nothing to do with leaving Holmes for Newport.

 

I'll leave it at that but anyone who is close to the situation or knows what went on knows Mullins had no choice but to transfer and move with his family to Newport.

It was kind of "tongue in cheek" to be honest. This type of stuff has been going on for many many many years.

Nope. I'm saying he was going to have to leave Holmes regardless because of a personal matter so whether he got kicked off the team or not really didn't matter.

 

As far as at Newport, he isn't with the team tonight and my guess is we won't see him for the next week or two and there will be a meeting with multiple parties to discuss his status going forward.

You obviously don't know Rod Snapp very well if you really think he puts up with crap from his players. You should really get some FACTS before you get on here bashing a coach and his players/program.

 

If a kid does something stupid, he is disciplined appropriately. I guess you've missed certain kids being kicked off the team for good last year and certain players being suspended and not even allowed in the gym during games this year for things very minor compared to this.

 

This altercation will be discussed with the appropriate folks at Newport (superintendent was in attendance) and the proper action will be taken.

 

As far as Ethan goes, his dad is much harder on him than his other players so I'm not sure what your comment about him being better playing for a different coach is all about? I can guarantee other coaches aren't going to put in the time and effort that Rod has with Ethan over the years during the summer and off season.
