I would think on performance and recognition, that Nick Petrino will be mentioned.

I think Doug Beaumont and Vic Anderson are the front-runners. With the rest of the pack, it depends largely upon team performance. I could see North Hardin's Mark Terry being right up there if he performs and the Trojans return to prominence.

Avery Hibbet (sp?), Victor Anderson, Doug Beaumont, Nick Petrino

Add Chase Minnifield

I agree with the guys mentioned but I don't think there is any way that Ammonds from Fraknlin Co can't be mentioned. He was arguably the 2nd best QB in the state last year behind Burke.

Victor Anderson, Nick Petrino, Doug Beaumont are the 3 that come to me.

1.Kaelin Ammons QB Franklin Co.

2. Keith Tandy QB Christian Co.

3.Doug Beaumont WR/DB Male

4. Nick Petrino QB Trinity

5. Vic Anderson RB St. Xavier

6. Brent Slusher LB/TE Bell Co.

7. Avery Hibbett RB Bowling Green

8. Justin Collins RB Western

9. Chase Minnifield WR/DB Henry Clay

10. Kurt Bovard WR Cov. Catholic

11. Wes Caldwell WR Lex. Catholic

12. Ross Deaton QB Somerset

13. Kasey Clark RB Russell

These are some of the players who I think have the best shot, in no particular order.

Kaelin Ammons is my choice...I thought he was the second best quarterback last year behing Burke also..........He has all of the tools to succeed at the next level. The only ? for me his his size...

I think Franklin lost a lot of starters on offense too but he is the real deal.

That is a very nice list. You could pull a couple of names out and add a couple in but those are definatly guys that are worthy of being metnioned or at least 10 or so of them that I've seen in person.

Ben Revere DB/WR from Lex Cath is another one. While OL probably won't win it the star linemen from Rockcastle, Bowling Green and Kyle Carter at Lawrence Co will all get a lot of pub and will all be playing on Sat most likely all Division 1.

An OL/DL will not ever win Mr. Football, but according to every recruiting source I have read this year, Kentucky is "rich" in offensive line prospects this year, as good as it has ever been.

Wasn't Dennis Johnson a defensive end and offensive tackle?

Having seen all three players, it is my belief that Emmanuel Taylor of Hopkinsville is as good a back or better than Vic Anderson and Avery Hibbitt. Keith Tandy, a QB at Christian County, is another fine player.
