The good news from the chart you presented is it seems those numbers are starting to trend down. What is concerning is the 40 year climb in SNAP qualifiers. This speaks to more than 8 years of Obama's "ineptitude," but more to the shove of the middle class into poverty.

In 2015, food stamp recipients totaled 45,767,000, a 62% increase over the 2008 total. The annual cost of the food stamps in 2015 was $75,859,880,000 which is a 96% cost increase.

Today's numbers look mostly lower than the 2011 numbers. When doing these comparisons I think looking at numbers from 2010 to now are the best way to judge the impact of Obama led policy.

A historian on C-SPAN a few nights ago said President Obama's administration will be judged highly by historians. I agree. You have outlined the reasons for your personal animosity toward the president but haven't supported your argument that he's the worst president in U.S. history.

 

The "worst period"? No need to go back too far in time. I would argue 2000-08 was far worse than '09-present because of the debacle in Iraq that destabilized the Middle East and the worst financial meltdown since the Great Depression. Then again, some people are only happy when we're dropping bombs.
