The big problem for Republicans ain't Hillary. If Trump wins the nomination, do you seriously think that the establishment-Jeb Bush crowd is going to support Trump in the general election? Guess again. Similarly, if someone other than Trump wins the nomination, do you seriously think that Trump's supporters are automatically going to support Rubio or Bush or Cruz? Guess again.

 

I think you will be surprised. If it's Trump or whoever, I'm thinking Obama has shoved Liberalism down the throats of the American people enough that they will vote for anyone to keep Hillary out of the White House.

What we're likely seeing on this thread, and throughout the commonwealth, are intelligent women who know as well as everyone else that Trump is a sexist clown ... but they dare not say so because their husband, father, brother, etc. has a Trump sign on the front lawn.

I don't want to seriously consider Hilary. In the end, though, if you ask me to choose between her and Trump, I will pick her. I don't trust her, really. I don't want to vote for her. But Trump is FAR more dangerous. If you think Obama is arrogant, and Trump is the anti-Obama, well, I don't know what to tell you. I think his brand of arrogance will alienate us among allies. I think his rhetoric will further divide us domestically. I think we are at a greater risk of outsidd threat with him at the helm.

I find his comments offensive. Why? Because they are debasing. His intent is to marginalize strong females as somehow not capable because they are female. His words and attitudes remind me of a 45 year old man I've known since he was a frat boy in college. That guy always thought he could say anything to women, treat women like crap (and he did), and he could smile and play the "I was just playin'" card with a smile and it was just the women being thin skinned. He didn't really mean anything by it.

 

Trump's comments are offensive. But those in and of themselves are only one of the symptoms of a raging egomaniac. Most troubling to me is trying to envision him in the role of diplomat. Because whether you like it or nit, the POTUS has to be able to work with the leaders of the world. Y'all say you want a Putin-like leader. Be careful what you wish for.

 

Frankly, I'm ready to write off all the people I know who are defending and supporting Trump. I'm tires of hearing how bad a choice Hilary is, while you support Trump. Neither are a good choice. So, if you want to be serious, you need to get to work finding a candidate that will appeal to those "easily offended" voters. Maybe some women aren't offended. I can think of sone reasons they aren't. But there are a lot of us who are, and it's only the icing on the cake of things we find offensive about him.

 

In the end, Trump threatens the very foundation of the American ideal. I think most people are so wound up thinking they want the extreme opposite of Obama that they're blinded.

I'm hoping not. Sincerely. I'd love for Christie to somehow be the man. He won't be. But I am listening and reading everything I can about Cruz and Rubio so I can find a reason not to vote for Hilary.

To address the closing borders comment: That's, in my opinion, a pie-in-the-sky attempt. It's impossible to close every possible entry point into the US. And we will be more of a target than now. And we also have citizens living and working abroad that we should be concerned about.

I'm not offended that others aren't. I believe I even stated in my post I can understand some reasons some women aren't.

As for the last part you bolded, I truly believe he does. I'm sure most on BGP disagree. No...I know they do. But, if you consider that hyperbole, I'm sure you can understand why people like myself consider the rhetoric about AHCA and Obama's views on gun control hyperbole.

Hillary attacked and villified all of the women who had the guts to stand up and say that they had been raped by her husband. She enabled him to carry on that behavior for many years. She stood by as he exerted his authority and power to take advantage of and sexually abuse a girl barely out of her teens. Yep, she is a wonderful person. A vote for Hillary is a vote of support for this ethical standard.
