Signing Arroyo would be beyond stupid IMO. The Reds have plenty of young arms. Don't waste innings on Arroyo.

Haven't gotten the complete lineup figured out yet, but I think Hayes will lead off, Taylor is willing to take some pitches, so I'd have him hit second. Dorn is probably your best BA guy, so drop him in the 3 hole. Cerrano obviously hits cleanup.

Of the guys left... the most desirable are:

1. Bruce- good contract with decent production. Count him as gone.

2. Chapman- good contract but would be a rental. Complicated by abuse claims. Gone.

3. Mesoraco/Cozart- good contracts with signs of improving stats before injuries. Doubt that either get traded before the season. Most interested teams (if there are any) will want to see how they do after some AB's.

His contract isn't a bad contract by any means, but what has he shown since roughly 2010 that would make a GM believe he could fill a void on any team? Only way you get rid of Bruce is to make him a package deal. Someone wants Chapman, they have to take Bruce too?

Did you forget about 2013? Bruce had put up good numbers every year until he got hurt in 2014, and he struggled early last year. His 2nd half was much better last year after he started to fully recover from the surgery. Bruce will have his best year ever this year. Write it down!!!!

Nothing would make me happier. Trust me. But as of now, Bruce is completely un-tradeable.

The Reds will move Bruce. A guy with his contract that produces like he does will be very attractive to other teams.
