I think it ought to be noted that T's streak was incredible...a thing of true dominance...but since you pose this scenario, let's put it in perspective relevant to the question you are asking...

 

In only the last couple of years has T actually been playing against similar competition relative to the school that they are. By that, I mean, parochial football-intense big-city schools. Even with all of the talent T has had in these last couple of years, they couldn't break 40 in a row. So in essence, you could argue that T's streak is a product of playing lesser competition relative to the school that they are. It is all relative.

 

The only school anywhere close to even approaching 50 right now is BGHS who is at 30...in that 30 they have beaten St. X (twice), Lex. Cath. (twice), and Warren Central (four times). These next two years, they'll play St. X, Lex. Cath., Mccallie (TN), Blackmon (TN), and Warren Central among others. That'll be a tough road to get to 50 through.

 

I think ANY team that can win 50 straight, against ANY competition in our state deserves to have NOBODY be so petty as to slight them for it.

Hey they were just catching up, we didn't have "likes" seven years ago.

I believe the Bowling Green Purples have a shot at 50 in a row. Their schedule is very tough this year, as always, but they have almost everyone coming back. I am more worried about next years team winning the first 5 games. I am truely a big Homer, so take that into account.

The games vs. LexCath and St. X in 2014 will be their two largest stumbling blocks. Their largest ones this year as well, but I like this team's ability to win them more. The St. X game is the only one that gives me pause this year.

 

If BG breaks the streak, they'll have earned it by beating some good competition.

so to answer your question, if Beechwood goes on a 50 game winning streak, seeing how they play above their A class every year until district games I'd say it means a lot more than if a 6A or 5A team went on a 50 game winning streak by playing below their class a lot.

 

With out doubt it would be more impressive for any smaller classification school.
