Doesn't it just depend on number of screens/showings? My guess is it will be sold out for every show for the weekend and would be sold out if you magically added another 200 theaters to show it. So I guessed "yes." For all of you that are going to deal with the lines/crowds, I hope you enjoy it.

They have been pre-selling tickets for months now! Crazy.

I think the Jurassic Park record goes down...the December opening record of the Hobbit will be destroyed, maybe by Friday.

 

Pre-Sale of tickets is said to be far outpacing The Hunger Games and The Avengers two of the highest pre-sale movies of all time.

When Episode I came out the local theater had 5 or 6 screens for it at the debut at midnight then kept 2 or 3 screens for the movie the first week.

 

Since all they have to do now is pull it up via a computer as opposed to having actual reels of films...theaters can show it on as many screens as often as they want. If demand is there the screens will be made available I would guess.

Apparently the theatre in Milford is showing it on every screen on Friday, except for one, and that is for Sisters.

I just called our local Theater and talked to the manager, it looks like they have 4 or 5 showings already sold out Thursday night and will have at least 12 showings it sounds like on Friday.

 

I'll see it at least twice this week, once with my son Friday at noon and then later with wife and daughter.
