The people who are linking the Old Testament to the Quran and Christianity do not have a very good understanding of Christianity. The Word kills but the Spirit gives life. Lipton Bash nailed it.

You guys are right about the Bible. That's my point. The interpretations of the Bible believed by the vast majority of Christians are as you state. Of course, the vast majority of Muslims don't interpret the Quran the way that you guys claim either, but hey, let's not let that get in the way of discriminating against an entire religion.

That is the purpose of a 'temporary ban'. To give us a chance to work out a way to try to keep out the radicals. Even with an improved effort, some may still slip through the system. And with a new system in place, we should be able to keep track of these individuals to keep an eye on any that slip through the cracks.

That's the problem, Christianity accepts that the written word of the Bible can be interpreted, however there is no interpretation of the Qur'an, it is recited and memorized (Brainwashed in Madrasas) chapter and verse, and acted upon word for word literally .

I just don't know how people can say there is no interpretation of the Quran in Islam. Of course there is interpretation! There are centuries of debate among Muslims over how it is to be interpreted and applied, just as there is about the Christian Bible. And there is no verse of the Bible that claims its meaning is somehow enigmatic or should be left to debate. In fact, 2 Timothy 3:16 says "all scripture is God-breathed." It's simply that any two Christians might read the same chapter and come away with different meanings. That's true of any religion, really.
