Got my Boss tickets, advice?

Featured Replies

Well, gonna cross off a bucket list item and see my first Bruce concert. In Louisville, YUM center. Probably going to arrive in the afternoon and get a hotel room and then spend the night after the concert. Any advice on a nice hotel nearby? Any within walking distance?

And, any other BGP'ers going to this? Definitely would be fun to get together beforehand for a drink or two, or six.

Can't help with the Louisville stuff (maybe @rockmom will see this), but I'm excited for the show.

I was a little ambivalent that he was going to be playing "The River" all the way through at first and I didn't want to miss him before he goes on another hiatus. I mean, it's definitely cool but I also like the freewheeling nature of his shows. But I'm pretty well excited now. I was reading yesterday he plans on stripping down the musicians on the stage to just the band (no choir or horn section) and playing it like the rock n' roll band they are. It's going to be awesome.

Have a great time, man!

Seen the Boss once at Bonnaroo. Awesome show! Got to hear "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" - such a rarity, especially in July! :lol2:

Super jealous I'm going to miss this tour.

Galt House is connected to the Yum Center.

Courtyard right across the street from Yum.

Mariott and Hyatt downtown are both very nice. Lot's of choices to stay down there, but I wouldn't wait until day of to try to get a room.

Thanks @TheDeuce

No problem.

All those are within two blocks of the Yum Center. Plenty of places to eat and things to do before/after the concert as well.

Very nice area around the YUM Center. Mr. Cat and I need to get down there for a weekend. We liked it a lot last time we were there but only had a short amount of time.

Wait til about 2 weeks prior and sell em on ebay. Bank.

I'm going. I'll see what I can do about a hotel for you too. There are several hotels in the area within walking distance. I'll PM you after I've done some research.

You know...I get where you're coming from, but a if you are a fan, a Bruce Springsteen show is just too precious. My advice, don't sell. The experience is worth far more than the money you'd make.

What date is the show? I'm not going to be at the show, but I could see about potentially meeting up ahead of time depending on the day.

Sunday, Feb 21

I'll be there. Staying at the Galt House.

You need to stay at the aloft hotel. It is walking distance and a brand new artsy fartsy hotel. Really cheap but really cool. Take this advise from a man who spends many nights In a hotel and just stayed at that one 2 weeks ago.
