Bracken County Hosting 10th Region Possible?

Featured Replies

@BrooksvilleBear you can't really go by those numbers hoping they'll be the same next year. Let's say Mason/Campbell make the final. I promise more than 1800 would attend that if were in Brooksville.

Mason County has a full time athletic trainer now.

That is great to know. Did this just happen?

Yes she started in August.

The gym its self would be great in terms of the atmosphere it would provide compared to a half-full Fieldhouse. The parking situation is what concerns me, when Bracken Co hosts the district tournament usually finding a place to park is the hardest thing to do.

If it was too bad you could park cars on the football field and the practice football field. I thought the shuttle buses were a good idea, not great.

Grass fields correct ? Spring = Wet

I love the atmosphere the gym provides, especially when its packed like it would be for the Girls regional, that was just one concern I had. If you compare Maysville to Brooksville you're going to have more room at the fieldhouse but the fact it will probably be close to half-empty because the size of the gym I think the atmosphere would be far better at the igloo.

We wear boots in Bracken, no problem for us

I think what he was implying is the blacktop track that surrounds the football feild. Just a thought.

....and most of the 10th Region drive BIG TRUCKS or mini-vans. Either is not going to be a good option on a wet football field. How in the world will Bracken have their spring football workouts ?

All in all it still would be really hard to pull the tournament away from the Maysville, MT. Sterling, Winchester, or Alexandria

The practice field behind the football field.

Wouldn't that damage the track for the track team?

The track is just black top, so no.

I went to a sold out game and they ran a shuttle to a parking area up the road a bit. No issues.
