December 11, 201510 yr We have a fair amount of violence where I work. I have to admit that our male security are far more effective in those situations than most of the female security personnel. Men are just plain physically stronger. There are only two women who are the exception. Sometimes when I see who is working that day, I pray for a good day.

To echo Beechwoodfan, I worked with some fine female police officers, but they weren't the ones I wanted with me if it went down. But they definitely wanted me with them.

December 11, 201510 yr I should clarify that I am only speaking in terms of women being in combat. I think there are other jobs in the military that women are perfectly capable of doing. Same with law enforcement. If I call the police because my drunk husband is beating me, I want the biggest, baddest cop rolling up on my lawn to help me. If I see a woman roll up, that's not going to help my situation much, IMO. On the flip side, if I call the police because I am raped, I would prefer a woman cop show up along with that big, bad male cop just because I am a woman and would prefer dealing with another woman at that point.

Agree, we NEED women in law enforcement. The million dollar question is how to bring everyone together in the safest manner possible.
