Covington Holy Cross 69 Campbell County 42

Featured Replies

Campbell County won both JV and frosh, JV game by one point, frosh by about 15. Gonna go out on a limb and say Campbell County has the best frosh team in northern Kentucky. Very skilled, high basketball IQ on players 1-7. They had a 20 point lead on Holy Cross tonight, and Holy Cross handily beat Ryle last night, leading by 30+ until the benches emptied (wound up an 18 point margin).

Most of Ryle's Freshman play on JV. Campbell looked really good in summer, have not seen them play yet. Cov Cath freshman players come off the bench in waves, it does not stop. Walton-V, if their players play down would be formidable as well.

Are they playing CovCath on Tuesday in Alexandria as part of a triple-header?

I haven't seen many frosh teams yet but CCHS impressed me a ton when I saw them last week!

Not impressed by CC. Way overrated. Thoughts on Wilson, whenever someone equal to him in strength or length guarded him, he seemed to "back down", cant remember #22 for Holy Cross, but whenever they stuck him on Wilson he just stopped playing aggressively. Probably due to equal strength. Also, Wilson seemed to make little to no effort for rebounds. I mean obviously he got some due to his size but he should be getting so much more but he put in no effort. CC lost this game in the 1Q, they were dead from the start.

Other than that, props to HC. Cant wait to see them travel up the road to Taylor Mill to take on the Eagles next tuesday.

It's very apparent, me being on the 7 day disabled list hurt more than anyone thought. :lol2: ......Congratulations to Holy Cross........

Sounds like the Camels are still trying to get the pieces in place..

HC was on it last night. 14 made 3's is crazy. Camels were way off from the beginning. Good thing is it is December. Coach Russell and the senior leaders have some work to do. I am not ready to write them off just yet.

As you shouldnt. LOL

Teams have games like this and when the other team is getting an extra point on every shot and doing it 14 times it is hard to come back.

Good Luck the rest of the way!

I watched HC do the same to SK early last year.

Not shocked by the win as much as the margin of win. Good luck to both teams the rest of the season.

I'm guessing that Coach Russell gets a handle on the situation pretty quickly....
