Here is the problem as these Wise Old Owls eyes see it. Bracken needs a few games where Austin needs to score zero and have 30 assists. Scoring is so easy for this exceptional offensive player, that his teammates could become lethargic as they get used to watching in awe. Hinson will tune this TEAM! Polar Bears you better get on for a great ride!

Coach Hinson has been clear from day one. It is a process to change the culture, teach the kids how to win, expect to win and believe in themselves, all the while providing stability that has been absent in recent years. None of these things are accomplished after 3 games.

So there is never any confusion, I root for Hinson and Bracken Co. every game but when they play Augusta. Kind of like I still like Pitino except when he plays U.K.

What a great rivalry game. My family and myself included have always been part of this rivalry and it was awesome then and now has soared to new heights. Coaching and living in a different part of the state I wish our players and fans could experience the atmosphere during a heated Bracken - A-Town game. Coaches, players, and fans are lucky to be part of 10th region basketball.

Win. Gaudy numbers look great on paper but unless they are paired with a win they only look good for the player IMO.

Maybe you should give that expert advise to the coaching staff.

His performance was outstanding! He has the Coach that will blend his exceptional and diverse skill set into making the rest of the team better. Recall what a great player Bach was. His support cast were three sophomores that each had strengths and weaknesses and Hinson molded them into an awesome machine. Bach was all about winning and he bought 100% into Hinson and the Team.

 

Having watched Crawford for three years, it is obvious he is of the same mindset. Bracken went double OT, but to get there Crawford had to get 47. Augusta had no one able to slow him that night. But, down the road there will be defenders, or schemes that will slow him and that is when the Team will have to be there. Hinson will have them there, but not if they get too used to watching.

By the way, those three sophomores mentioned in Post #69 have grown and polished their games, and are the Leadership and Experience, Quagmire has rightfully mentioned multiple times in this thread.
