Cincinnati loves you when you're here and hates you when you leave (whether its your call or not).

Don't buy that at all. This town hates a lot of its own. See Dalton, Andy and Votto, Joey...

Which is funny because I really enjoy both those guys :lol2:

There are many ways both are historically good, and this town hates them all the same. One of the worst sports towns in America...

Yep. The way I see it, Joey may very well end up the best player to ever put on a Reds uniform and Dalton is probably going to be the best QB Cincy has ever seen. Might as well enjoy it now. Sadly, most will waste it away complaining about what they need to do to fix the problems.

It does amuse me the pass X gets. Only team in the city to never actually accomplish anything, but they are seen as the little engine that might.

Only a championship is acceptable for the Reds/Bengals/Bearcats. X makes it to the second weekend and those guys are adorable... :lol2:

I agree, but I married into X, so I can't publicly say that...:lol2:

I think you are overestimating people's goals for UC. Most would like them to just try to make it to the second weekend just once for a senior class.

Elite 8? Maybe once every 20 is the new bar?

Wake me up when X sees a Final Four...

That's true too. I was thinking more of Palmer and Ocho Cinco.

I agree with a lot of things you say, but this by far is the one thing I agree with more than anything!

When you have to go back to 1992.....

It's clear which program has been more successful over the last 10 to 15 years. Fortunately, both are in strong positions now. Makes it much more fun.

Sorry. Got lost staring at GT's avatar. What were we talking about?

Last 5 years.

Head to Head

Xavier 3-2 (Average margin of victory over UC: 14)

UC 2-3 (Average margin of victory over Xavier: 17.5)

Regular Season Record

UC 123-50

Xavier 106-60

Top 25 Wins

UC 18

Xavier 10

NCAA Tourney Record

UC 4-5

Xavier 4-4

X was clearly better while Mick rebuilt the program. Since then, not so much...

When you can't date back to, well, ever...

Only using 5 years supports my contention as far as "program."

And since your initial shot used NCAA advancement let's not forget S16 appearances.
