December 5, 201510 yr I will never understand why teams will spend THAT much money on an average pitcher. The guy has good stuff but he has pitched enough that you pretty much know what you will get with him - 500 or so pitcher with an average ERA. Why commit almost 100 mil to him? I will never understand that. I get why Greinke and Price are getting theirs but this is nuts.

W -58 L - 51 ERA - 4.19 WHIP - 1.311 ERA+ - 96 Seems like the going rate then. His stats are just a little bit better than Homer's. Homer got an extra year, he got a little bit more per season.

If you are good enough to play in both major leagues, you always play baseball. More money, longer career and you can walk without a limp and think normally when you get out.
