Is it me, or does it seem like the efforts to track these guys down has been less than effective? I know that watching multiple news channels doesn't give the fully story, but I haven't heard any mention of a perimeter being set, or anything else that says they are actively seeking these guys out.

 

I'm not suggesting that the police are letting these guys go by any means, but in recent events where criminals have gotten away it seemed like the search was much more intense....i.e.: the two guys that escaped from prison and we're on the run for a few weeks.

They are thinking that they have already ditched the SUV and got away. Looking at traffic cams in the area now.

I've had CNN on since it started and haven't heard any description of the suspects other than masked gunmen...if they are 20-35yo white guys then I'd be thinking it is possible that it is an anti-government militia type group responsible.

 

Clothing and tactics would lead more that direction than Jihadist at this point.

Sure, but this isn't that, yet it devolves with the stupid comments like usual. It's really tiresome that it's attack after stupid attack. Nothing constructive, just status quo garbage. Casts a cloud over one's intellect when you do nothing but throw barbs across the presumed aisle. There's a time and a place for the typical rhetoric, this isn't that. But I'm not surprised either.

 

I agree with all that. However, just keep in mind that there may be some of us who are here, not to prove intellectual prowess(I do that everyday at work) but to be entertained by you people.

If I heard the chief correctly the area targeted was not the area with disabled people. Also this isn't just children it's mentally disturbed people as well I believe.

 

The area they are reporting now that was targeted was a banquet room rented out for County employees holding a holiday luncheon.

Because if you were hearing about it, so would the people being looked for. Police aren't going to say exactly what they are doing or where until they feel they have them at least narrowed it down to an area that they are concentrating on.

These kind of people need no "why" to do the things they do. Like you said, they have no place in society.

My best guess would be that at least one of the gunmen had a beef with the staff at the social services agency -- a disgruntled parent or ex-spouse, perhaps. This is too odd of a target to incur the wrath of terrorists. Just my opinion.

 

Now, isn't this what we should be discussing instead of reciting the usual litany of gun cliches?

This just seems like an interesting time for everyone to hold their cards tight to there chest, when in every other similar instance all the "facts" are thrown out almost immediately. Makes me think that this could be worse, or bigger, than we know.
