I know he's one of the best in the game and he's got great stats at Fenway but those last 2-3 seasons scare me. I hope he does really well and decides to opt out after 3 years. I still look for the Red Sox to add at least another big name pitcher either starter or reliever.
December 2, 201510 yr Only major sport without a hard cap...Boston, NY, LA and Chicago teams will always out spend the rest of the league teams year in and year out. There will be a team pop up for a year or two or one of these teams may drop payroll every once in a while, but long term they will always out spend everyone else until there is a cap.
