Kentucky fan punches Grandma & Grandpa after loss to U of L

Featured Replies

LMPD officers were called to the 100 block of Blue Fields Road on Saturday after the football game. That's where Conner Karem "became violent after a brief discussion regarding salad," according to his arrest report.

After Karem punched his grandfather in the face and nose, he "proceeded to repeatedly punch his grandmother, even after she fell to the floor," the report said.

Karem suffers from seasonal depression and Asperger's, but is fully functional, his family told police. He was also upset because of the holidays.

The man left the home but returned after police arrived and began investigating. When Karem saw the officer inside the home, he spit on him, then later told him, "You're lucky it wasn't a gun," according to the arrest report.

All of that yet it's because he's a UK fan. Seems like a convenient way to grab the article clicks throwing the UK fan part in.

He's an idiot either way. The entire thing is stupid. :lol2:

This guy deserves a severe beatdown and should be locked up for a long time. No excuse !!!

Embarrassment to all Kentucky Fans.

Why is he an embarrassment for Kentucky fans? He doesn't represent me because we like the same team.

There are idiot fans of every team...

Karem suffers from seasonal depression

Does this mean football season?

(Also, am I going to hell for that?)

Now THATS freaking funny!

Asperger's

I would want to know more about Asperger's before I comment too much on him.

It is on the autism spectrum.

Because whether you like it or not...people group you in with people like this. Right or wrong.

It is on the autism spectrum.

Is this a thing that could be contributed by the Asperger's? I have a relative with severe autism, and at times will go into what some may consider rages, so I don't want to get all over this guy if the behavior could be explained.

Yes. My son is Aspergers. He is an adult and very high functioning but can still have "meltdowns" given the right circumstances and if he hasn't had his medication. Gatherings are extremely high anxiety for him and can lead to situations like this. Very frustrating for us but we're lucky enough to have had extensive education and training through organizations I've worked for/with in the past so my wife and I have learned to diffuse a situation with him before it explodes. Usually.
