FairFan
At first it looked like the catcher swithed the ball to his non glove hand, but he didnt, he just stuck it out there.

Butterfingers
He may not have tagged him but if this would have happened in Kentucky HS he is out. you are not allowed to leap over a tag.
cshs81
He's out. Unless the defender(catcher in this play) is lying on the ground, the player cannot hurdle the defender. He's out.
napster
:ylsuper: :ylsuper: Butterfingers and CSHS81 are correct. This is a safety issue. It doesn't matter whether or not a tag was applied. Cool video, though!

FairFan
He's out. Unless the defender(catcher in this play) is lying on the ground, the player cannot hurdle the defender. He's out. So he should just run over him then...right. That sounds like a pretty stupid rule.
FairFan
Butterfingers and CSHS81 are correct. This is a safety issue. Cool video, though! How is that anymore dangerous than sliding into a base, metal spikes first. I am sure everyone will argue with me, but I dont like that rule at all.
