The school undoubtably yes.What school wouldnt support their football team. It brings in more money. I'm sure those few good years they had with Rich Brooks the football team brought in more money than the basketball teams does in a national championship year. But by no means do I believe the UK fans support the team the way they should.

Football brings in more money when they win than basketball does. It would be stupid for the school not to throw money into the program. Wow you had more fans than Vandy congrats. Nashville is closer than Lexington to a lot of UK fans. I'm just sorry but once BBM happens Lexington stops caring about football.

 

BBM happened a while back, plenty of UK fans came out for the game today. They also out numbered another sec school in their own stadium a couple of weeks ago. And the school has thrown tons of money into the program recently. Your argument of no support is about as weak as it gets.

What would you suggest UK fans do to support UK football more? Do you even know where the money comes from to upgrade the football facilities? Should we fill road games completely with UK fans?

Well for one thing sell out all the home games even the FCS games. You're never going to agree with me so why argue? I just think you're kidding yourself if you think the fans support them to the full extent.

Only reason is because of immediate playing time. Just look how many frosh/soph are playing.

 

And get beat down game after game? Just because you may play immediately isn't always a good thing. Alot of these kids aren't ready to play but have been thrown to the wolves.

Please tell me how they DO support the team as much as they should? BGP is a bad example because every one on here is clearly passionate about all sports. But the fanbase as a whole, what do they do that shows how they support the team?

Thankfully I imagine no one is recruiting you. That said, there have been empty seats all over the country the past two seasons. Even at the "football" schools.

For a team that had lost 5 or 6 straight with most of those being God Awful ugly games where poor coaching and poor play made fans :puke: to have 10,000 Is a miracle IMO.

 

If Billy G would have had one more year you would have seen empty seats in Rupp.

One can not blame any of them if they opt out. This staff has taken two extremely talented incoming QB'S and made them look like they have never played the game. Most of the other highly regarded recruits have not shown much growth under this staff. Add this to the fact the team overall playing a cake walk non-league schedule can't find a few more wins to even make a minor bowl.

I know the big boy from Lafayette was wearing a UK hat before the game Friday. I won't be surprised if he starts as a true Freshman the kid is big and good he played the entire game.

Every time one of our players fails to make a play (i.e. O-line or receiver), our recruits see a big "Vacancy" sign on that position.

 

I'm hoping that the recruits see that as an opportunity to play early, and make UK better.
