The addition of Edmondson will definetly make them a contender not just at the all a region but also the 8th region in general. Nate will bring a outside threat to the team and also give them more size (6'3 180 lbs.). I think this move will be great for both Nate and his family.

Braeon is not the same caliber as Edmondson. This will hurt Holmes more than people think.

If you read my post you'd see that I never said they would win the 8th region...all i simply said was the addition of him would make them a CONTENDER.

 

Also as far as Edmondson leaving hurting Holmes, it also won't hurt as much as some think. Sure they lose a 3 point threat but they also return Rice which will make their inside game of Hill, Henderson, and Rice much better than Edmondson alone's outside game. Like I've been saying all summer, this team will be loaded with or without Edmondson. Hill, Jefferson, Henderson, and Rice return alot of experience and the juniors to be (braeon Avery, Terrence Clark, Josh Nelson, KeJuan Arnold) are all capable of being big contributors and 3 of the 4 started on the team that won the sophomore AAU state championship last year (Henderson being one of the other starters and some kid from Indiana).

 

Trust me, Holmes will be just fine. And Gallatin is getting a special player who will help them turn some heads this year...dont count either program out.

This hurts Holmes but they are probably still the top team in the region. Although this will allow teams to pack the lane in a bit more to stop the penetration. Holmes will be even more dangerous if they can consistently shoot from behind the arc with Nate. Best of luck to him.

Hill is probably the closest outside threat to fill the void left by Nate. DJ is a little streaky and can get hot from behind the arc also though.

I'm not sure if Holmes was capable of renewing the magic of the 2004 season. I think Lexie Brown was the glue that held the enormously talented team together.

Not often the Wildcats are on the receiving end of a good transfer. I'll be watching out for them to have another good year.

Lexie was definetly the glue of that team...but hopefully with one less ego and a year to swallow the tough loss to dixie, they can play together and prove how much they've all matured

Shelby Co won't win the 8th region because they lost Slaughter & White, plus it took Shelby to the last few minutes of the game last year to beat SK in the regional final. Shelby has no one to replace Slaughter, no one.

 

SK will be preseason #1 in the 8th and if they stay healthy, they will win it.
