Seriously? Without a conference yet not sure they could entice anyone better. And they are Bowl bound.

 

Not likely to go that route this year, but fans and big money donors were already turning and this is going to be a deep cut that takes a long time to heal. If ever. I don't necessarily agree with that sentiment, but the AD that hired him is long gone, and the 90 million re-opening of Nipper is staring down a 7 win season at best. Staying the course in this win everything now climate is going to be a challenge...

I could see it if a move to a Power 5 conference happens. But for now this team is a 7 win team that was a blown call on the road away from knocking off the darling of the conference (until Navy beats Houston) and 7 wins versus 9 or 10 isn't going to really matter bowl-wise. Donors/Alums need to be realistic which I realize isn't a normal thing.
