Your right it doesn't work that way but then you realize the end zone paint doesn't start until 1 yard deep in. Add in the fact the ball was spotted outside the one yard line and at the very least it was a bad spot.

This game was made interesting by the pregame field hydration treatment! I walked this field after the game and it was an absolute mud pit. I nearly lost my balance just walking! No way was there enough rain this week for this field to be that unplayable!

 

SK had to relocate a soccer playoff game because the field did not meet KHSAA specifications. No way should this, or any playoff game, should be allowed on such a field. This game should have been moved to Ryle. After all, they have no use for football stadium this time of year!

With this being my first year not involved with Cooper since its birth, yes that's exactly how the field works. If it rains on Monday, everything around the field drains to the field. It wasn't a good design but it's what Cooper was given and they show up to play on it and don't complain. Turf has made people spoiled. Football is a game that you play on the elements, if it rains, get muddy, if it snows, you're going to be cold. Stop complaining about conditions, strap up, and play.

Cooper has a bag full of what-if.... What-if our kicker didn't have surgery this week, What-if our future D1 running back wasn't hurt, what-if the refs called pass interference or hold when it was going on.....

Cincinnati. Not sure where else but Cincy was his #1 at least for now. Also heard the Nathan Brown (qb) has received D1 offers - comment was Eastern KY as well as possibly Tennessee.

I am pretty level headed when it comes to officials. Those guys were AWFUL!! The field was a mess. That is why games like these should have to be played on turf. They do it in Ohio. Both teams had to combate the same slop but Cooper definitely had the advantage because of them being used to that type of surface. UK1 was not making excuses. Just stating the facts. On a side note, I can't believe I'm defending UK1.

 

Without a doubt. Like I said, Ohio requires these games to be played on turf. That is why they're plated at a neutral site and usually at Nippert.

 

As I have said (repeatedly) in the soccer forum: God intended football to be played on natural grass. Stop whining.
