You hit on why the left worries about Rubio, especially the underlined, vs Hillary.

 

As myself and others have stated in the past, he may get the Cuban-American vote, but he will not fair well with other Latinos.

He will be the next president. Republicans will turn out huge to vote against Hillary while the dems will not turn out the youth or minority vote in numbers like the past two elections.

You're absolutely correct ... but let's not forget that GOP turnout in '12 was really high, yet Obama still won the Electoral College handily.

I thought 7 million less R's voted than in previous cycle but I could be wrong. I thought that was the year the religious right stayed home ?

Rubio could be a formidable candidate; especially with an astute pick on the ticket with him.

Romney picked up 984,000 more votes than McCain did; similarly, 3.58 million fewer people voted for Obama in '12 than '08. Still, Obama beat Romney by a little less than 5 million votes, and 332-206 in the Electoral College.

I am so tired with the powers that be in the Republican party telling us who we are supposed to select. I for one am done with that and I am ready for a new direction, since the current elected officials are doing nothing for us that was promised. And I mean nothing. There's not one bit of difference between the two parties. I have not made a pick but it will definitely not be Rubio.
