FSfan Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Class 4A Region 1 Championship Game: Does Franklin-Simpson have a chance? South Warren is a huge favorite, having already beaten FS 27-0 at home with SW's QB playing but not rushing.
jcarter Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 I think FS will keep close for a while like ACS did Friday but in the end Souths depth and talent wins out 35-7. Too many weapons and a healthy QB is the difference for south.
DADDYDOWNSOUTH Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 South 36-6 but not without an early fight . I hear FS is a little more banged up than SW is . Even though SW is coming off of a less than stellar performance . Nice to know you can have a bad game and win as big as they did . ONE GAME AT A TIME
Adopted Purple Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 I think Franklin Simpson has a chance in this game. They have a lot of history and pride down in Franklin. This isn't the same team SW faced earlier in the year. The Spartans should win, but it's not a done deal. At least I hope not.

Purple88 Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 A running team vs South D is a recipe for a loss. Franklin has come on well at the end of the year, but last week couldn't have turned out better for South. No road game and no passing team.
macdon Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 This FS team has really matured the last few weeks. There were a couple of games I called "debacle" games, Greenwood and ACS, where the Cats seemed to just not get it. Since the ACS game senior leadership has kicked in and things have seemed to fall in place. Have they fallen in place well enough the compete or beat the prohibitive 4A favorite? Hard to say either way. This team was expected by many (most?) to be where they are now from game one. When you take stock as a whole this is a pretty youthful FS team. Truly maybe one set of birthdays away from realizing its full potential. The Wildcats are banged up but isn't everyone this time of year? They faced the challenge of a high scoring one loss Hopkinsville team and answered. South Warren is a whole new and much larger challenge. As the previous coach would say, "You're gonna have to step it up."
FSfan Posted November 15, 2015 Author Posted November 15, 2015 Going with my heart instead of my head: FS wins 22-21. Something tells me that FS has been saving something up for this game. All the previous evidence suggests a big SW win, but who knows? That's why they play the game. Just like Ronda Rousey was supposed to win last night...
PantherPride2020 Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 SW wins 35-7. Will be close in the first half. Maybe 14-0 SW but they will pull away in the 2nd half. Key to an early route will be how their special teams play. Last week was the first time in a while they didn't have a punt block that I can remember.
Spinstopshere Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 They didn't try haven't last 3 that way it won't show on tape
Killowatt59 Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 This will not be a game. South will dominate. Spartans win 42-7.
macdon Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 They didn't try haven't last 3 that way it won't show on tape You think the only game FS has to scout from is the last three games?
DragonFire Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 In this day and age, I think it's best to assume that every single game, scrimmage included, is in the possession of your opponent.
