So is the original premise of the thread wrong? ND currently has one more win over ranked opponents that Iowa instead of one less?

Wow imagine that, a thread about Notre Dame, and it took exactly 1 post for someone to mention Ohio State. I have to ask is it really just hatred, or is it just pure jealously. You all act like the boy in elementary school who picks on the cute girl they actually like, because they don't know what else to say to her. I mean seriously, Clemson, Bama, and Ohio State get in automatically if they win out, that's a given. We are solely speculating about the 4 spot right now, but oh I don't actually have an argument so "Ohio State doesn't play anyone!" Ok well the B1G has 6 ranked teams and the SEC has 4. How many of those 4 has Bama played, 1. So please tell me how Bamas schedule is so great. That everyone in the SEC is so great. There are 3 good teams in the SEC this year, 1 decent team, and the rest are horrible and you all know it. But I guarantee I get a reply to this post that has the words Ohio State. All I really want to talk about is Notre Dame, but please keep changing the subject.

NDs only win over a currently ranked team is Navy. Iowa has beaten Wisconsin and Northwestern who are currently ranked. 2 top 25 wins to 1 and 0 losses to 1. But please let's talk about Notre Dames strong schedule when they beat a bad Texas team, a very, very shaky USC team, a good AAC team in Navy, another good AAC team in Temple oh and the luck they needed to beat Virginia of all teams. But please continue to act like Notre Dame has just been rolling over these great teams, when actuality the only quality team they have played so far, beat them.

And OSU has 0 wins against any ranked teams whether currently ranked or not. However, they are the defending champs and, if they ever put it all together, the most potentially complete. However, you can't argue "Wins over 1 ranked team," when your team has 0.

You mean the Virginia game where they lost their starting QB, played their backup Sophomore QB with a Freshman back for most of the game, and still won? Didn't OSU need a little bit of luck to pull off a win against Northwestern in '02 to win keep their dream season alive? Come on now. Win is a win.

For a group that constantly bashes UK fans on here for being "SEC fans", does anyone else find it ironic that an OSU fan is so invested in trying to talk Iowa up??

Where have I said that Ohio State has beaten a ranked team yet? They obviously haven't and the reason they are in the top 4 is because they are Ohio State, but there also isn't a doubt in my mind if they beat Michigan St., Mich., and Iowa in consecutive weeks that they won't be number one. Ohio State is the best team in the country IMO, do they deserve to be number 1 right now, probably not, will they be number 1 in the end? Heck yeah they will be.

Im not trying to talk Iowa up, I'm trying to talk ND down. Everyone bashes Iowa, but yet their resume is better than NDs. Look at my top 10 thread I had Iowa below ND, but I had Ok State ahead of ND because they have the better win. I am by no means talking Iowa up, just using them to bring ND down.

Your argument is flawed. The sole issue, besides blatant dislike, that you have with ND is a perceived lack of competition. You bash Notre Dame and their schedule, though it is currently the 5th toughest in the country. You state that they have only beaten 1 team that is currently ranked, though they have beaten 3 teams who were ranked at the time of the game. However, you make no mention of the other teams ahead of them, one of which has not played a ranked team, has no starting QB yet, has 7 point wins over Northern Illinois and Indiana.

Everyone agrees that OSU, should they win out, will be in the top 2 seeds. A lot of that has to do with last year's run. We just don't see the strength in your argument bashing Notre Dame.

Most talent that Notre Dame has had in some time, imagine this they have lost starting QB, All american RB, and starting TE, still with (1) loss.

1. Georgia Tech ranked when they beat them

2. USC will be ranked again by the end of the year,

3. Navy

4. Lost at Clemson, on a failed 2 point conversion, who is #1

5. Play Stanford last game of the year

6. Texas first game of the year, no one can say they thought they would be this bad

One of the reasons they have this playofff deal is so we can argue points, do I think Notre Dame is a top 4 team? NO, do I think Iowa is NO, heck if anyone gets a golden ticket its Bama, who I think even with a loss should be #1, if you remember right Ohio State got beat at home by V. Tech, and won it all last year. My 4 now

1. Alabama (even with a loss)

2. Oklahoma State

3. Michigan State

4. Clemson

I dont care if teams are undefeated if they dont play anyone, the only loss M.State has was a horrible call, (OSU, Notre Dame, Florida, Utah, Baylor, LSU, Iowa, Stanford) all have a shot, and control their own destiny. What if Houston goes undefeated? That conference has proven to be better than people admit

Temple, Navy, Memphis, Houston,

Why would you look at teams that were ranked at one point, they obviously weren't that good if they weren't that great. I don't care what some bogus SOS statistic says, ND has played a very average schedule, beating up on some typically good schools who are having bad years. Most years this is a hard schedule, but not this year.

I give up. Let's just rephrase the title. "We" do not have a Notre Dame issue. "You" have a Notre Dame issue.

So let's say Oklahoma runs the table, who gets in? According the committee and everything they have said so far, ND gets in and that's a problem.

Oklahoma lost to Texas, Dude. ND beat the tar out of Texas. They stink, remember?
