A very good and experienced corner.

This game was a Tale of Two Halves. Johnny Football was making it tough on us because we kept letting him out of the pocket as we all saw. Bottled him up in the second half and he just cannot throw the ball well/accurately. I will say his receivers did not help at all. Gabriel has bricks for hands.

 

My only concern is Jeremy Hill. He looks a little slower and is not getting to hole as quickly as last year. Something isn't right and I have no idea what it is. Don't know if physical or mental. When Gio is in the game with basically the same plays he finds the holes and is getting the extra yards.

 

Other than that, they just plugged along tonight in workmanlike fashion. It is aleays good to beat a division opponent.

My only concern is Jeremy Hill. He looks a little slower and is not getting to hole as quickly as last year. Something isn't right and I have no idea what it is. Don't know if physical or mental. When Gio is in the game with basically the same plays he finds the holes and is getting the extra yards.

I agree. Think he was a little banged up, and don't underestimate that he probably has "don't fumble" in the back of his mind. Makes him a little mechanical and takes just a split second off what he's doing. He will be fine I think, but no question Gio is probably better right now. Add to it with all the outside weapons healthy they are one back out of a shotgun a lot, don't think that's Hills best set.

He is a little better than earlier but nothing like the end of last year. Maybe it is his knee.

One thing I really liked last night was the lack of penalties. No PI's! But it was the Browns. When Bengals play Manning or Brady, they will have three or four with the same coverage. Wonder how that works?

Very few penalties, as you say. They seemed to let them play a little more it seemed or looked that way at the stadium. I don't know how you officiate these anyway. Both replays were so easy to overturn it almost was laughable. They missed the spot on Manziel by a yard and Tate was clearly down. Seemed like they thought we will let it go and let replay get it.

 

The few calls did produce a much quicker and enjoyable game.

OK, I'll say it. This is the perfect storm brewing for Mike Brown. Let's say the Bengals go 16-0 and lose in the first round of the playoffs or for that matter win 1 playoff game. Andy Dalton is then considered GOLD in this city, which is a shame. Yes the guy is having a great year, but there is just something that tells me in a HUGE game, I.E. AFC Champ. or Super Bowl he's going to become the OLD Andy. I've already seen it this season, against the best teams the Bengals have played Seattle, a 500. team and Pitt with( a hurt Ben ,and Bell out ). Cincinnati fans have become so desperate for a winner, even winning 1 playoff game in Cincinnati, would get Andy Dalton a lifetime contract with the Bengals, and break the bank, even though the Bengals in reality have really won nothing other then their division. All I am saying is demanded more then just 1 playoff win this season, demand a Championship, or Andy Dalton needs to be shown the door, just a reality check on this season, with a long way to go. :popcorn:

This team. There is just a different feel about them. Hands down they have the most talent in the league and it's not even close. Marvin Jones is a number 1 receiver on at least half the teams in the league. Hill hasn't shown us yet what he is capable of, but it doesn't really matter. We have so many weapons around him that he has the luxury of being able to figure it out one game at a time without anyone noticing. The defense was the biggest positive of the night. The first half they weren't being disciplined in their rush and they got out of their rush lanes and Johnny kept getting out of the pocket. But the adjustment Guenther made at half was great, I don't even know how big of an adjustment it was other than just telling the D-Line to keep containment. By the way Johnny Football is tiny. The only was he is throwing the ball is to get out of the pocket. He can't see past his O Line. But anyways. It was great to see the Bengals take care of business tonight. This is what we want to see from them. That has been their weakness with Primetime games. They treat it as though they have to create this perfect game plan. They don't have to do that anymore. They have 1 game plan for every game. Run Hill or Bernard which ever one is having the better game. throw to whichever receiver is open AJ, Marvin, and Sanu because they are all capable of making big plays in the open field. Inside the 20 just throw it up for Eifert. While he may not be Gronk yet, he is definitely more athletic. That move he made on the cornerback last night was dirty. Keep taking care of business. I would agree with most of what you said, but the bottom line is, CAN Andy Dalton beat the likes of Tom Brady, Aaron Rogers or Patton Manning, in Denver in a Championship type game with everything on the line, I say NO! Which equals NO CHAMPIONSHIP under Andy or Marvin, it's just the reality of this Bengals organization. This team is very good, but with Dalton, not good enough in the end, period. :no:
