No way OSU is left out, even if they lose a game. They are the Yankees of college football for crying out loud!

 

See that is where it gets interesting. If OSU does lose a game, then Notre Dame who could also arguably be called the Yankees of college football also are sitting there with just one loss. A lost on the road by one yard against a team that could still be ranked #1 in Clemson. Not to mention a much tougher scheduled played for Notre Dame. So if Ohio State is to lose a game, they would have a very tough argument in making it in over Notre Dame if Notre Dame still only has one loss.

I've never understood this. Can you explain to me why this matters? Or why you're even concerned with who someone cheers for?

There is nothing wrong with cheering for multiple schools if you have reason. Like for me I am a Die-Hard Ohio State football fan. I was born in Columbus and my hospital room had a view of the Horseshoe. But I am also a die-hard UK basketball fan because I have a diploma with their name on it. While I like both football at UK and Basketball at Ohio State, I am not a hugely invested fan of them. So it is possible to have a logical reason to cheer for both teams. But what I don't understand and will never understand is rooting for a conference. For instance I want Michigan to lose every football game they play and I want Louisville, Duke, and Florida to lose every basketball game they play. I'll use Florida as an example, if you're a UK basketball fan, did you root for Florida to win back when they won back to back championships? I know I didn't. I couldn't stand them because they are one of kentuckys rivals. Is the concept of a rivalry not that you want that opposing team to suffer as much as possible? I find great joy in seeing Michigan lose. I still laugh uncontrollably every time I see that play against MSU. Am I just too harsh or too big of a fan, because I thought most fans thought that way. IMO it's just Kentucky football fans or other non-power SEC schools that do that. I don't think Bama fans want Auburn to win a championship, I don't think Ole Miss fans want Miss. St. to do well. Why do you all as UK football fans?

But personally I don't get all of the backlash thrown JA's way. He is just calling everyone out on their SEC fanboy ism. I am the original OSU football fan (Old Rambler as well) and UK ball fan on here. Everybody on this website has known my position for almost a decade. I was born in Ohio, moved to NKY in 1996 and feel in love with UK bball. I graduated from a KY high school and an Ohio college. I have a reason to support who I do.

I have no clue who you are but loving having you on this site lol. It was me and Rambler dealing with the fanboys for many many years. If you ever think about leaving the site message me first I'll cover your membership, you and Faux lol.
