Steelers say Bengals "aiming" to injure Bell

Vince Williams....Just go to Twitter and look at Burfict's tweets. He retweeted it.

Scroll down in this article....They have a screenshot of the tweet.

That is the one who doesn't shock me. Fake tough guy. It's truly no big deal, and if asked by the media today, I'll lay $ that Tomlin will have no problem with it, appropriately, and dismiss the question as bunk and move along with the presser. The hit on Ben was way closer to an illegal play, and very similar to the one that ended Palmer's season, and Tomlin said he had no problem with it. I still don't think it's a big deal, and the Steeler forums I read daily don't even discuss it. If it was that big a deal in Pittsburgh, it would be message board fodder there. They are almost as overreactive as this board is about the Bengals.

Yet, no one in Pittsburgh is apologizing for Mike Mitchell sprinting to AJ Green and spouting off about how he was next after he nearly killed Marvin Jones.

Clean hit, too.

Are they supposed to? Is anyone in Cincinnati apologizing for Bell?

Why would they?

Why would they?

I guess it kind of ruins the validity of their complaints about the allegedly classes reaction after the tackle on Bell if they are incapable of acknowledging when one of their own exhibits similar, if not worse, behavior.

Mike doesn't owe Cincinnati fans an apology, he gave us plenty with the taunting call & automatic 1st down.

He's an idiot.

Exactly. Those living in glass houses moment for Pittsburgh.

Now we have Marvin Jones calling Mitchell a "fake tough guy"....The rematch next month should be fun. :lol2:

I watched some local news after the victory Sunday night and the rest of the team needs to follow Whit's lead and shut their pieholes.

As for that being a dirty play by Tez, no way, and what a disappointment to see a couple of Steelers hurl unfounded allegations at Tez/the Bengals.

Mitchell will probably get ejected.

We can all say what we want about Mike Mitchell but he always has been and always will be a headhunter.

I think Mitchell is a guy NFL teams have to gameplan for. If you are smart you can beat him down the field, if not, he blows your receivers up.

And Mike's hit on Jones was clean and I will go as far to say Mike took it a little easy on that hit making sure he placed it just right. In other words, Mitchell could have hit Jones much harder.

I'd be interested to know what % of Mitchell's "big hits" result in penalties. Do your guys at ProFootballTalk do that type of analysis?

LOL, I wish they were my guys.

Sounds more like a ProFootballFocus stat of the future. Maybe Cris can shine some light on this one.
