What better way for Coach Glaser to prove his worth...

Don't think Glaser needs to to anything to prove his worth.

Hearing the Glaser drumbeats in the rumor mill! That sure would spice things up, would love to see it!!

No doubt, Champ!! Things would get really interesting.

My worry is a few of our T guys could be on that list. Past two years have been really special with the addition of new coaches - one great hire after another the past two seasons. I could get behind a T guy getting a shot at this job but prefer to keep all of them on Shelbyville Rd.

For any candidate, I just wonder if he can do better than 7, 8, 9 wins per season just like the previous 2 head coaches.

I don't think it is a need as much as it is I will show all of you.

In other words, I meant it as a positive about Coach Glaser, not any kind of slight.

Don't know if he would take it, but if he did there would be a HUGE "tip of the cap" if he was HC of Manual and beat the Tigers.

I will say if Manual can find a way be more productive on offense they will be a scary team.

Put me on the Coach Glaser Bandwagon, I would LOVE to see him take the job.

When you consider how well Coach Wolfe is doing at Male (along with the obvious of X and T) Coach Glaser taking over at Manual would be a great thing for Louisville big school football.

The Big 4!

I would love to see Glaser COACH at manual. But I don't know if he could give up one of the best teaching jobs in the state to do it.

Also, as much as he may want to stick it to the admin, gotta think he still has a big heart for the young men at X, and would be very hard to coach against them.

Don't know him personally, but from what I've heard from some of my X friends that played for him, I really don't see him taking it.

That is why I would be surprised to see it happen.

Doesn't matter who they bring in if Jerry Mayes and the administration doesn't allow football players to be accepted. Lucas would have 120 to 150 players apply each year and get 15 or so players in and only a handful of them would be "players", meanwhile the other "BIG 4" schools play with 50 to 100 freshman. It was time for Coach to leave, I wish him the best.

duPont Manual is Coach Glaser's new dream job. This came from the horse's mouth!

REPEATEDLY over the past two years. I am excited for him. Coach Lucas stated his stance in the C-J. He took the Crimsons as far as he could. I wish him well. It will be interesting to see if he returns to Lexington, ventures to northern Kentucky, etc.

Maybe Bob Redman. His political run stalled at his own 25 yd line.

If only he had used safeties.

Manuals roster was loaded last year. Football players get in and go to school there. They finished 4th in the district. How about coaching the kids that they have a little better. It is a 6a school after all.

Do they have a few great players, absolutely. Do they have a roster full to fill all positions with 6A starters, not a chance. They beat everyone they should of beat the last few years, and beat Male a couple times when Male by far had the better team.

A successful football program must have a supportive administration or it doesn't work, is my only point.

Manual does not get the numbers that you would think. Yes they do get 400 students a year, but they do not get 50 football players per year. It's a 6a school because of all of the YPAS and MST kids, not athletes.

Manual listed with 769 boys all 4 grades, but like Sparky Anderson said, many of even the boys are YPAS, MST (math science technology), a large number of special needs kids, this year Manual only had 16 freshmen, last year about 20. When I was there with Nichols we usually had somewhere between 25-35. it was less at the end of Nichols tenure when Wooldridge became principal, even though his son's were on the team, getting kids in became harder and harder. We would have younger siblings of players not be able to get in. Would have thought Principal Mayes would have been a friend to the football program, he was Manual's coach before Nichols, but it seems football numbers are dropping lower under his administration.
