Does a loss to the Raiders knock the Steelers out of Wild Card certainty?

Featured Replies

I see the Steelers are about a 5 point favorite over the hot Raiders.

How important is a win for the Steelers? It would be huge for the Raiders and I think a win really hurts the Steelers chances for the posteason.

Anyone?

I assume this game is in Pittsburgh? I would think another home loss, and especially one to a team they could battling for a WC spot could be very costly.

It would make it rough because the Raiders have an easier schedule to finish.

But at the same time the Jets aren't looking good and we gave to see how the Dolphins react to the Patriots game.

Every win is a must-win at this point. With Bell out and Ben still working his way back to 100% we don't have much margin for error. It does look like our fast-improving defense can keep us in games. Hope we don't have to ask them to win too many games.

It would be a knockout blow.

Huge game for Steelers. If they lose they are basically 2.5 games behind the Raiders and I don't see the Raiders falling apart. Carr is a real NFL QB, Latavius is legit at RB and Amari Cooper may be a 10 year all pro. They have weapons. Del Rios has them believing.

Still would have 6th seed and that's wide open.

No, a loss does not knock them out. The AFC is full of average to bad teams and 3 undefeated. Two Wildcards will have to come from East, North, or West. The only team with a record better than Steelers for last WC spot has no QBs healthy. Steelers can win 5 of the remaining games and if they get to 9-7 they will be in.

Hard to say any team close to 500 is knocked out of a wild card halfway through the season.

It does not knock them out but it knocks them out of "Wild Card certainty"...that is the question of the thread...

Way to early to declare any wildcard teams. More Than half the season is still left.
