So, are we saying Highlands belongs at 8 right ahead of CovCath? Or, are we saying CovCath belongs at 7 right behind Highlands?

Bowling Green is still number one, can anyone knock them off or are they a lock to be in the State Championship Game? Near Lock to reach the Title game

 

Will we see a Bowling Green/Pulaski County matchup to settle once and for all who number one is? I think this will be the finals

 

Is Fern Creek capable of beating everyone on their way to the State Championship? Yes they are!

 

Can Owensboro upset the Purples? They can but they won't!

 

Is Highlands poised for a deep playoff run? Weak Region they should play at least 3 games probably make it to the state Semis

The good news is, the playoffs are here so we can finally see which team will rise to the top. Good work on the rankings this year!

South Oldham took a first game loss to an up and down Anderson County then went on a tear before losing a close game to a quality Shelby County team. Now their schedule was not the strongest, but it was about how they won more so then who they won against.

 

Southwestern is a quality team, they have lost one game they probably should have won and taken two big losses to very high quality opponents. They beat a quality Corbin team and beat Montgomery County by a good margin.

 

Montgomery County is a question mark at times, but has some quality wins over a previously undefeated North Laurel (yes, North Laurel played a weak schedule) and a win over an, again up and down, Anderson County.

 

To your question: would those teams faired better versus Highlands' schedule? Probably not better, I think they would have been very close to the exact same result. Sure the margins may have been different against some opponents, but they are comparable.

South lost best player in opening drive in an ambulance departure. . Otherwise I think that outcome would have been different IMO

South Oldham is a very young team that lost to Anderson Co in the first game. In that game, they switched out QB's as the coach wanted to see who played better in a real game, along with some other positions. Since that game, they have stayed with the same QB, Elsbury is now the second slot back playing very well and the defense has been solidified also. That is why they went on a roll in my opinion -- solidified some positions and no longer swapping out. In the Shelby Co game they lost their best player 5 mins into the game on a potential TD pass and he did not return. Still kept it close and almost tied it at the end. Would have been interesting to see how that game could have turned out with both teams at full strength. Anyway, believe South Oldham will be fine in the first two rounds then see what happens vs probably Fern Creek. Here's to good luck to all teams and for all to remain healthy!

I'm surprised Christian County is at 5 since they just lost to the number 8 team in 4A. I'm not saying it's wrong, I'm just surprised.
