Maybe all it took to wake these Rams up is those two slaps in the face they received during district play. Should be different if they get the chance to meet again with both of them.

I may be way off base out in left field but doesn't that make Raceland conference (EKC) champs as well? I mean it's not a district title but it's something to be proud of. Just spitballing lol

I believe it would make Raceland the EKC champs. Have won it in the last with wins over the same teams. Idk though, the losses to Fairview and Paintsville may change that. Idk.

I don't think Fairveiw or Painstville are in the EKC. I believe it is scored by EKC winning Percentage. Maybe someone could clear it up. I'm not for sure.

Raceland didn't lose to an EKC team they're the champs.

They play in a pretty large venue......Campbell County's former varsity field. The Camels built a new stadium and Brossart took residence in the old stadium. But small and grade school like it is not.

After a night to sleep on it, all I can say is, "where has this team been all year?!" Wallace, Hall, Holbrook, Walker et al stepped up and played Raceland defense. This was the ONLY game that we have played like Raceland and the ONLY game we have played to this team's potential all year. Anyone who has watched these kids from several years ago through now can attest to this. IF the boys can play this way throughout the playoffs, who knows what happens.

Anyway, Russell will not go far in the playoffs anyway. We just cannot play well against good teams.

I hope that you're wrong on that. Before Friday night, practically everyone outside of Raceland and 1/2 the ones in Raceland were saying the same thing about our guys. Maynard is an excellent coach, he will have your kids ready.....good luck to Russell.
