I don't think they get out of the region HC or Lloyd will knock them out

Since the 2A East Representative has been NewCath 6 of the 8 years since the 6 Class alignment it is safe to say the Breds will not go quietly into the night

 

They may not go quietly but I bet they wake up one morning real soon to find Admiral Nelson and a fleet off their coast

Interesting point about 2a.....1-2-3-4-6-10 are all in the west! 5-7-8-9 are in the east! Imo west is very dominant this year!

Let's see what the Breds do this week against Beechwood. If they can hang with the Tigers or get the upset win, then you may be right. If Beechwood wins by 2 or more TD's, then NCC will have their hands full against Danville and a couple others in the playoffs.

I would agree with this........hell, they could have their hands full in the Regional Finals.

Holy cross might shock some teams in the playoffs this year.

Everything I said at the end of last year is coming true concerning Mayfield. When they made the jump up to 2A, I never said they wouldn't compete. C'mon they are Mayfield. They have earned every bit of the success they have achieved. What i said is that the road will be tougher. We are at the end of the year now, heading into the playoffs. If they were still 1A, how many teams besides Mayfield do you think would have a legitimate shot? I say Beechwood, and that's about it.

Now that they are in 2A there are 6 teams with a legitimate shot at winning it. Mayfield does have the advantage with home field. If they can run the gauntlet, then I'll be the first to congratulate them and say job well done. It's been fun having them in 2A, and I'm glad they are here. I prefer them over Caldwell Co.

I tend to think the same thing. I'm not sure how good they are, but they just always seem to find a way to the finals, even when they aren't great.

I would have to say Mayfield will be the favorite to win the 2a state championship, I just don't see anyone from the west beating them.
