Let me know ahead of time as I usually work Saturday lunches in the bar. Although I'm going to be spotty in there this month with other events planned for Saturdays out of town. I'm in there from time-to-time on M/W/F lunches as well.

I like my meatloaf without the onions, tomatoes, spices etc. then put between a bun with cheese, mustard and lettuce.

How do I like my meatloaf? On top of another piece of meatloaf!:hungry:

80% lean, 3 lbs.

1 large egg

1 cup bread crumbs

1 onion, finely grated (not diced)

1 can black beans, drained

Worcestershire to taste

green hot sauce to taste

 

For the glaze: mix ketchup & maple syrup

I like many varieties as long as as its not crumbling apart. Mashed potatoes are encouraged.

I prefer my meatloaf in the trash, and pizza on my plate.

Do you leave the beans whole, dice them, smash them?

I leave them whole, but the smaller the beans the better.They sort of smash themselves up when the mixture is kneaded an pressed into the loaf pan

Fixed meatloaf for dinner yesterday, my wife said it was the best she's had since her mom's. Had meatloaf sandwiches for lunch today and about to have one for a late night snack.
