Interesting matchup and a good tune up for the playoffs. If Mayfield plays their game , I like em by a couple of scores.

This will be a close one. The score should be a little lower than they have been in the past couple of years (2014- Mayfield 40 Caldwell 12 @ Mayfield 2013- Caldwell 48 Mayfield 41 @ Caldwell) based on improved defenses. Both offenses are very good, I believe both better than expected (especially Caldwell). With both teams playing well it is a toss up, with a slight edge going to Mayfield on paper, but it being a home game for Caldwell probably negates any edge. Having said that, I believe it is a 28 to 30 final score. My real hope is both teams have good games and leave Friday night without injury. Both are poised to make deep runs in the playoffs in their respective classes. GOOD LUCK to both.

Mayfield by two TDs. With Trajon back and capable of breaking one for a TD every time he touches the ball, the pass game now opens back up much more. Spread out and guard the pass...Trajon has his way. Load up to stop Trajon and were throwing downfield. Mayfields game just changed with the return of Bright

I take issue with a post that mentioned that BOTH offenses are better than expected. Caldwell perhaps, not true for Mayfield. Anyone that has seen Mayfield on a regular basis knows what's up, so I won't get in to details of what needs tweaking. Nonetheless, with Tyler getting substantial time at the varsity level, I would expect to see more of a 2 back set. No worry about the defense, but if Mayfield looks sharp on offense and in special teams play, I will feel better about the playoffs. 31-21 Mayfield.

Dream, I would LOVE to come to this game! I will be at the BG McCracken game, but once my daughters graduate I will be down 100%, but it may take me awhile.

Bright makes a HUGE difference on offense. With that said Redbirds roll 38-28.

Mayfield will be to much for Caldwell to contain.

I made that post. You believe the success that Mayfield has enjoyed is not a surprise? You are more than likely on an extremely short list. Losing Bright and a backup comes in, and not only holds his own but showcases his talents and Mayfield doesnt seem to miss a beat isn't a surprise? A VERY short list.

Great, congrats. You made a post I referred to. Glad you know more about Mayfield football than me. It has zero to do with Bright or Tyler (the backup as you call him). Stick to what you know, not what you don't. :thumb:
