Cawood may be off that list after this coming year.

I like this plan the best.

Cawood, Cumberland and Evarts will remain open two more years.

Thanks HDE. :thumb:

Wow, I don't think it would even be fair to not put Highlands in that 4A class.

Not a bad plan.

The current playoff format requires 32 teams. I would suggest either expanding 6A to 32 teams or giving the 6A teams 11 games.

I like the 11 game scenario. And given 1 week less for the playoffs, this could work and still give each team an open week.

I assume then that this is according to Male enrollment only, correct?

Impressive and very interesting proposal SM, sounds like you need to be on the Board of Control and/or propose this to the KHSAA, powers that be.

Correct, which changes alot of our earlier discussions. Male enrollemnt numbers for football is what the present or future classifications will be based on to the best of my knowledge.

Trust me, no one wants that. My favorite saying " Find something that makes sense and you can be assured that it will never happen."

I am assuming these enrollments are for the top 3 grades?

Since most high schools in Kentucky are grades 9 through 12, why doesn't the KHSAA simply use the top 4 grades for their classifications? It probably wouldn't change anything but it would make more sense. I mean, using the top 3 gades to determine classification makes about as much sense as using the top 2 grades.

Agreed, but will they be allowed to play up or will they have to enroll more kids. Either way I bet they end up with Cov Cath.
