I made a comment that no QB is deserving of being in New York this year. I still believe this award HAS to go to a running back this year, but the more I think about it the more I think 1 QB has the trophy in front of him to take. Baker Mayfield. If he can knock off Baylor, Treyvonne Boykin, and Ok St in consecutive weeks then I think it would take Zeke Elliott rushing for 250 and 2 TD's against MSU, Mich., and Iowa. I still think it would an absolute travesty to not give it to one of the fabulous running backs in college football this year, but its a QB award and Baker Mayfield's for the taking.

Cook could have a huge game against Florida and seal the deal.

These 5 should be in New York: Henry, Mayfield, Elliott, Cook, and McCaffrey. It's probably between Henry and Mayfield. I don't think Deshaun Watson is deserving of being there just because his team is undefeated. His numbers aren't really anything special. Reminds me of all of the talk about AJ McCarron being there a few years ago when his numbers weren't great, but he played on a great team. All the other guys I mentioned have great numbers and play on great teams.

If you haven't seen them yet, Navy is wearing special helmets for the Army/Navy game. They are bad to the bone. Each helmet has a different ship on them.
