Wide Recievers to watch out for in '06

I agree with Southeast Bell. I foresee big numbers, including wins, from the Middlesboro WRs this year.

Drew Mcdavid will be another threat from Ashland on the receiving end, as well as Luke Bonner.

In NKY Class A keep an eye on Ludlows Chris Poe. Caught 2 TD passes against Scott on Friday and had a 3rd that he came back on to set up another TD. Very exciting when he gets his hands on the ball and is also a pretty exciting punt returner.

Lone Oak has a good core of receivers

Davin Ramage, Sr.-tough & experienced solid wide out

Daniel Edwards, Jr.-excellent hands

Jamarielle Brown, Soph.-could be one of the best receivers in W.KY-6'2" & has a 37" vert. jump

John Pierce, Jr.-a versatile tight end

I feel the corp of receivers at Henry Clay...... Aaron Boyd, Clark Jeter, and Chase Minnifield are the best in the state of Kentucky. Size, speed, athleticism for all three.

I love John Cole from Somerset. He will help Ross Deaton run up some huge numbers for the Briar Jumpers.

Also, Wes Caldwell at Lexington Catholic is an outstanding young man and gifted wide receiver. I assume Ben Revere's speed will also be utilized on the offensive side of the ball at Catholic. He will be a nice compliment to Wes Caldwell and prevent defenses from keying on Wes.

Are you serious?

Such a nice comment, evidence of the usual prejudice. Why not just go by the addage, if you can't say something nice, shut up! "Why should small schools even dare to exist, would be the next comment I would expect."

Caldwell, Sutton, Bovard

Look for one of the young Dixie receivers to step up and have a big one this year as well. I can't remember the young man's name, but he's tall(about 6'4) and pretty lanky, and looked pretty impressive last year. Tall and lanky, I'm sure that narrows it down for you Sandman  (I think he wore 80 something if that helps).

I don't recall any receiver that big on Dixie's squad last year. I thought Brady was the largest, and he was about 6'2". Anyways, EJ Detmer (who you may be referring to) has the best hands out of the bunch. He came on strong halfway through the season last year. However, at this point in time, I don't see a superstar on this team. I see a bunch of guys who can get the job done, which bodes better than just having one guy that can make plays.
