I wouldn't consider region 1 fodder for region 2

I know this is an ambiguous statement but this one will probably answer some questions.

If Boyle does NOT win Region 2, maybe.

 

However, Boyle is ranked ahead -- sometimes, WAY ahead -- of Caldwell/E'town/PT in all six rankings (BGP human, AP human, CJ Lit computer, LHL Cantrall computer, CalPreps computer, MaxPreps computer).

Adair is a very good football team but I feel speed of the game will increase drastically for them Friday as they haven't been tested by anyone that compares to Etown. I hope Adair can pull out the W, but I think ultimately Etown is too much for them and wins in a close one ----- 28-21

I still stand by my previous pick. Etown will roll I think. Speed will be the difference. Adair can't match the panthers in that category and more often than not that wins most ball games. I will eat crow if I am wrong. My pick is 34-14 Etown. I agree with other posters in this thread that neither team has a "quality" win. North Hardin is the best win either team has and they have a losing record. We thought North Oldham was a quality win at the time, but now it looks like they will miss the playoffs. I can't wait until Friday night!!! I know other games are left, but this is for the district title.

Agreed, but if Boyle does NOT make it to the final (unless beaten by Central), it's an upset.

 

Same thing for the other Eastern Kentucky region being fodder for Belfry. I'm sure there are some fine teams to the east, but if the Pirates aren't at WKU playing for the title, it's an upset.

North Oldham is NOT 6-A. They could miss the playoffs since they're in a 5-team district without "crossover" -- which allows the fifth-place team to become fourth place from another district.

North Hardin beat Meade and will host a playoff game (as long as Meade doesn't stun Central Hardin).

For Adair to win Melton is going to have to play lights out because Adair will have a hard time stopping the likes of Cecil and Wilson of Etown.

Adair gave up 300 yards rushing to Metcalfe. With Etowns rushing attack, i dont see Adair winning this one.

I know this sounds totally outside my mind, but it holds true, check film if you want to see it with your own eyes, I would not blame. The only team Etown has faced that has the specialty speed that adair does is north hardin. From watching the etown vs Hardin game I really really think that NH had a chance to end the panther's unbeaten run that night and let it go. I agree that Adair will have to play the game of their lives to win, but these two teams are not so lopsided, time will tell, about ten hours time actually. Etown may have a slight edge in some "intangible" category, but they will have to have a game themselves. This is going to be a great late season matchup for a trophy.
