Love this pic!!! Two of my favorite players. After all those holds for JD, JD left no doubt Cain was getting in! Nice way to payback.

 

Think the offensive unit could use that blocking at the point of attack? Actually JD chipped two guys first and then sent this young man to the concession stand.

Did anyone notice anything new after the bye week? I was wondering if guys were going both ways, or if the offensive or defensive strategies were adjusted.

I think HHS has the slight edge over CCH this year. Even though they got wrecked by Ryle and Cooper. Highlands never fails to make me cry. My prediction at the moment, 28-24 HHS

Allen cut his teeth on fastpitch and is due a large amount of credit for their success!!! Always gets the shot and treats the players as his own. I would put very few people in the same conversation as Vi Gerding (HHS all time number one fan..RIP) and Allen is that type of person. We are blessed to have him. So blessed, we even look the the other way when he slips and supports that evil school on the hill... NCC.

I don't know man... I think its about as even as it gets.... I say maybe a point or two edge to CCH. home field advantage will also help.

While I do realize and agree that football is the consummate team sport, I feel the need to put out my son's accomplishment in this game. By making the first PAT of the night, Jared Dougherty set the all time mark for extra points in a career at not only Highlands High School, but all of NKY. He is now 10th all time in the state for career makes with 174 and counting. He has been very appreciative of the opportunities that he has gotten over the years and has said many times that he could not have done this without the help of the snappers and holders over the last 3 years, Brandon Hergott, Conner Welsch, Kyle Rust, Evan Allen, Mitchell Cain and Sam Taylor.

 

Hopefully they can keep building on this total over the next 8 weeks.
