October 1, 201510 yr Nice thread CWB...a lot of history and great pics. Before my time the Lou Gehrig "Luckiest Man on Earth" pic will always be a classic. In my time the Miracle on Ice, Jimmy V, and Usain Bolts "lightning in Moscow" pics are pretty incredible to me!
October 1, 201510 yr Some awesome, iconic photos. What's up with the random Andre Johnson touchdown photo towards the end? I guess it's there because of the defender on the ground, but you could probably take a photo like that every single weekend. "Which one of these things is not like the other"...it made me laugh.

October 1, 201510 yr If you have to explain what the photo is of, it's not powerful. Most of those were not, what I would consider powerful. It's a subjective thing, I guess. Too me, a powerful photo speaks for itself. No explanation of context is necessary.
