Not the excuse, Shamrock mentioned how when X wins they rub it, but I believe after T beat Male there was some type of altercation and the HBC at T was right in the thick of things.

 

There was an altercation. After the regular season game Mr. Wakefield gave Coach Beatty a strong handshake and slap on the back while celebrating the Male victory. Coach Beatty returned the handshake and back slap after the playoff game. Mr. Wakefield proceeded to yell at Coach Beatty and follow him to the Trinity sideline where the players were singing the fight song. Mr. Wakefield and a Trinity parent ended up yelling at each other and were separated.

My specific observation is I don't know the leading tackler, the top two running backs, the top 2 receivers, the top interceptor, both cornerbacks for Trinity because they didn't play in the CSAA, so I don't know them or have love or hate for them. 18 played of the rotation in the CSAA. It seems like the rotation seems to be around 28-30 players. Yes, the QB is from a CSAA school.

Deuce Finch played for St Anthony of Indiana in the CSAA and Victor Anderson played for St Agnes and Coach Passafuime in the CSAA so they were known. Deuce is the son of two teachers and very intelligent well spoken young man.

 

I know Deuce attended Parkview Middle School where he played basketball with my brother. I didn't say anything about him not being an outstanding person.

X fans relax, you have a difference maker and his name is Ridder, if he doesn't turn the tide for you guys this year I can almost guarantee he's gonna have a monster year next season. Trinity will have a tough time containing him on the turf, the kid can run so I do predict X will put points on the board against T. The difference in my opinion will be the Defenses, X is just giving up way too many yards to hang with T on the scoreboard. If X wins I wouldn't be shocked but I just feel their D is going to give up too much.

Trinity has been drawing the same percentage of players from public and private since I played at T 20+ years ago!! I didn't hear these complaints from X when we were getting smoked on a regular basis during most of the 90's, please stop with the excuses. :idunno: X has plenty of talent and capability to beat T, just see last season. If you watch or follow CSAA sports, you have to recognize many of the names. Plenty of Toy Bowls in our starting line up. But I'll name a few for you and the schools. I do appreciate the follow up but in all honesty, if you follow the CSAA, you know most of these kids.

 

Passing: Woosley (Edward)

Receiving: DJones(Edward), Carrico (Martha) and Burns (Johnson Middle)

Just giving you 1 and 1a leaders. Burns has 2 interceptions and the others have 1 interception. Jones leading in nearly all receiving catagories but Carrico and Burns right behind. Same thing on defense.

An incorrect inference but you likely know that. Trinity certainly has standards but we do not brag about them or use them to justify under-performance in athletics. No one stated that Trinity lost to Male due to 'higher standards'.

I personally think it's hilarious that Louisville's two most significant Catholic High Schools Pot (T) and Kettle (X) are going after each other about things unrelated to the football game. As a football fan with minimal affiliations with either school I think it's safe to say each side is looking at things from behind their own respective "green" goggles. It's easy for both sides to claim the other is something they're not but both sides can't see the forest for the trees.

 

As far as the game is concerned... T has the advantage in terms of athletes on the field. X really has nothing to lose. I know the Tigers aren't looking for moral victories but keeping this one close should keep the seat cooled enough for Woolford to make a push.
