Scott 43 Mason County 7

Featured Replies

Mason hung around first half. But an absolute lack of depth destroyed any hopes they had...

Real story here is Scott's lack of discipline. I'd guess 130 yards of penalties in second half alone...

Ask rjs. I called this one 34 or more for Scott and 7 or less for Mason.

Actually close at the half, several missed opportunities for both teams. Mason with the ball on the Scott 2 just before half but couldn't punch it in. I told the guy next to me that Scott wouldn't throw a pass in the second half, and I think that was correct; Scott ran the ball down Mason's throat.

Scott with 403 total yards. All on the ground.

Scott may be the most penalized team I've seen in a month of Sundays, but the talent differential - especially in the trenches - was way too much for Mason to overcome.

And I did get to meet rjs4470 just before kickoff. My life is complete.

Yep. The guy from Delaware and the guy from MD finally get to meet. Sorry I had to cut the meeting short.

Good win Eagles...

Good win on the road !! Homecoming this week against Harrison County. Stay on course Eagles !!

The defense actually showed up for the Eagles tonight , Pleasant laid the "wood" real early and often and set the tone for the defense who on a couple of occasions bent some but did not break . The penalties against the Eagles were at times mind numbing and they have to get that in check !! There must have been 5 pass interference calls and there seemed to be a holding penalty on every other play . It is a good district win for Scott and with everyone of their skill players healthy this team could be real scary good . Did I just say Scott could be scary good ?? I can see that the culture change in Taylor Mill is starting to take shape , now if they could just learn not to shoot themselves in the foot , Good Job Eagles !!

Mason county had some good plays against Scott, they just have to capitalize in the redzone. They left to many plays on the field. But I can tell you one thing Mason county has a lot of sophomore and juniors starting on both sides of the ball and they will be more experience next year I think that's the team to beat next year!

But for the rest of this season they still have

Vs. Bourbon

@ . Harrison

@ . Holmes

Vs . West Union

@ . Conner

It's going to be a tough season for the royals

Way to go Eagles on your win last night! Keep working Eagles...keep working!

The addition of CJ Seay (the goalie from the soccer team) as the kicker is a huge plus for Scott after losing their regular kicker. And nothing against Lawson, but Seay looks like he is going to be the best kicker Scott has had in several years. Long, high kickoff's, and the ability to hit field goals from about 45 yards in could be very big in close games.
